- The Man — the one thing out here that's real. It hunts, it's fast, and it can kill you. You can lose it around corners and in the dark; you can't fight it.
- The echoes — the watchers, the wearers, the voices. They stalk and unnerve, but they're memories. They can't truly touch you. Don't let them walk you somewhere that can.
- The journal — pages torn from the dead, recovered as you explore. Survival craft, the rot, and the way to end it.
